Member Spotlight ~ Lynn Irwin

COALA is thrilled to spotlight a very special colleague and friend, Lynn Irwin. Just a few months ago, Lynn was diagnosed with Idiopathic Aplastic Anemia, a rare and fatal disease without a bone marrow transplant. In short, this meant her body stopped making blood. Fortunately, for Lynn, her twin sister could be a donor. Thankfully, the bone marrow transplant was successful and Lynn is doing well. She is a shining example of strength and courage. We all were so excited that Lynn attended this month’s meeting!!

Another Record Breaking Attendance!

Wow!! Another record breaking attendance to put down in the books for this month’s meeting!!! 😀 Not only was it a joy to see everyone’s faces, but our speaker, Austin Vance, Esq. of Oklahoma Indian Legal Services, Inc., held an interesting discussion on Indian law and legislation. Can’t wait to see ya’ll next month. Our May speaker will be Sharon Byers with the Oklahoma Guardian Ad Litem Institute.  Click here to view more photos from the meeting.

Record Breaking Attendance!!

We are over the moon with our record breaking attendance by members and guests to hear the Honorable Don Andrews speak at our March meeting. And a warm and special thanks to his bailiff, Ginna, and our own Misty in coordinating his attendance. We look forward to seeing ya'll again at the April meeting!

In case you missed today's meeting...

Today, we had the honor and privilege of hearing Joe Balkenbush, Ethics Chairman of the Oklahoma Bar Association. He spoke at our February CLE luncheon.  We learned how to keep ourselves and our lawyers who we served "in check".

We were also honored by the attendance of four past presidents of our organization. Such great leadership!

A great time today at the Sheraton.
