COALA Corner, January 2019

Happy Tuesday COALA Members:

A New Year is the perfect occasion to celebrate love, friendships and all the good things in life. Let’s take the time to appreciate what 2018 has given us and what the new one is about to bring.

COALA accomplished so many wonderful things in 2018. My hope is that our organization continues to prosper in not only number but ideas, experiences, and education; that we continue to maintain high standards, promote the paralegal profession and COALA as an organization, and provide a network of support for each other.

Did you make any New Year’s Resolutions or goals for 2019?

Why not resolve to participate in a volunteer opportunity presented by COALA? Information can be found in not only COALA Corner, but also on the website under the News & Events/COALA in the Community tab. For more details or if you have volunteer ideas, contact Kasi O’Brien, COALA Public Relations Chair.

Are you interested in professional development and advancement in 2019? Why not resolve to network with other like-minded professionals at Cocktails & Conversations? Or attend COALA’s Spring Seminar?

If a career change is your goal, career opportunities are highlighted not only in COALA Corner, but also on the website under Careers/Job Banks.

A personal thank you to Liz Litts for providing a summary of the Fall Seminar speakers for inclusion in this issue of COALA Corner; to Barbara Urtz for her creative input and proofreading skills; and to Carol Bybee for her continued leadership and direction.

Don’t forget to RSVP for this week’s luncheon on Friday, January 11 and I hope to see as many of you as possible at Cocktails & Conversation on Thursday, January 17.

As always, we look forward to hearing your feedback about COALA Corner (good or bad). Do you have content ideas? Wish to write a feature article? Please share your thoughts about and ideas for COALA Corner with myself or any member of the COALA Board.
